The Shape of Water del mexicano Guillermo del Toro es la triunfadora en la 90º edición de los Oscar con la mejor dirección y película. La ceremonia presentada por el conductor Jimmy Kimmel estuvo centrada en reivindicar el papel de la mujer en la industria, tanto con sonados abusos sexuales cometidos en Hollywood y el trato igualitario en cuanto salario y diversidad.
Además Chile hace historia al ganar el Oscar a mejor película extranjera con ‘Una mujer fantástica’ de Sebastián Lelio, premio que hasta el momento solo había logrado Argentina en dos ocasiones en Latinoamérica.
